The Data Transformation series incorporates footage the artist shot of street traffic and pedestrians in New York City. In Data Transformation 3, a sparse grid of color LEDs are on the left side and a denser grid of black and white LEDs are on the right. Even though there are fewer "pixels" on the left, the fact that they incorporate a full spectrum of color means that they encompass much more information per “pixel,” and the viewer gets essentially the equivalent resolution on both sides of the piece.
